Today, I had the best Mothering Sunday present ever. Our sons, Alex and George, both arrived at Lilongwe airport, Malawi today. They are on university holidays and have come to join us to share part of the journey and the adventure.

It is great to have them with us.

Happy Mothers Day! How fab to have the family together again. As someone who never managed the rides for the ‘over 7′s’ at Disneyworld, I am in awe of your bravery across the Turkana route and the white water rapids. Could do the Savannah Dry bit though! Loving your stories but glad it’s not me. Think of you often. Take care. Love Jan & Rup x

    Great family picture!
Listened to Nick’s blog yesterday with Dave – thoroughly enjoyed. Best wishes from us all.

It was so great to see them, John. And we’re having a great time. Yesterday, we went to South Luanga National Park, Zambia and we had a great day. We saw so much game – at one point we had a group of 13 giraffes right in front of us. The boys took lots of great photos – editing will be a nightmare – and we hope to put some on here when we get a good wifi connection.

Glad they arrived safely ( excellent planning George, well done!) We went on Mothering Sunday Safari to southampton to search for the lesser spotted Jonathan – found him in his natural habitat – nesting in piles of dirty clothes and unwashed dishes! Big love to all x x x x

Lovely photo Claire! You must be so pleased to have all of your boys by your side now. Keeping up with your travels… the safari looked amazing, I love that giraffe shot, he looks like he may be saying “Helloo Rupert, maybe you would like to sample a leaf from my very tall tree?” xxxx (KS kisses)
